johnson Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Hi everybody. I'm thinking of converting my 26" mtb to 27.5". I Need a 27.5" fork with a 200mm straight steerer tube.What I would like to know..............Is it possible to modify a tapered steerer tube to fit in a straight tube application/headset ? Or is there any other suggestions to make it work ? Thanks.

droo Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Depends on the head tube. If it's semi integrated, ie. 49mm ID, then an external cup headset will work. Integrated or external cup won't.
