Clarens Road and MTB Routes

Must be the safest out and back ride you can do on a road bike in SA  - massive shoulder smooth (on a gravel bike anyway) 

I rode it a few weeks ago after a small section of the road collapsed and it was bliss because there was so little traffic 

Quite odd to ride from pretty Clarens and then only  30 odd km away,  Fouriesburg which is, let’s say, not nice

Definitely check out the book port route. You can literally lift your bike over the fence into Lesotho. The route can be seen on Google earth (obviously)
