Does anyone have the .gpx or .tcx file for me of the  four stages of the 2013 event - I see the organisers are now able to revert back to the original route after last years 3 stages, and I want to load them onto the TACX and do a bit of "past papers"

Thanks

BTW whats up with the date change? The official letter says CSA made them change the date and I believe its because there is a clash with the vets tour on the same weekend. So this last weekend we had Tour Durban, Panorama and joburg2c. So why didn't they change any of those dates?

I did the race in 2013. I use a garmin. Not so clued up on what files are what. If I have what you need and you can tell me what to do I can help you out.

Great! I use an Edge500 but I suspect all the Garmins will be the same.  The simplest way would be to plug your unit in, and copy them directly off the Garmin (like you would do with a USB), otherwise, do you still use the older Garmin Training Center (easier) or Garmin Connect (a bit more tricky!)

They should be in a folder called "activities" with a date as the name

Have no idea - I'm just glad we are able to get the 4 stages back again.  Last year I was sick so I rode a back-up van and it wasn't nearly that exciting with only 3 stages

I am really looking forward to this one - I reckon it is going to be epic! :)

Agreed   this will be my 2nd Kremetart...first one in 2012   it's a great race with an awesome atmosphere leading up to the race and also the Saturday night with the Potjie's brewing on the side and the Beer (post race carbo-loading) in the one hand :whistling: with another "back-up" beer waiting on the table in front of you...LOL

Training did not pan-out as planned...so will just ENJOY (not racing) the race and the pre- and post-wibes with my wife and other friends joining us (for their first time).

Enjoy and travel safe   this race should be one each and every cyclist's BUCKET list, as they cater for BOTH road and MTB events.

It's a constant drag of about an average 4% - it bites in places, but if you tap it out nicely, you should be fine.

Try and reach the tunnel at around 45-50 minutes, and then recover downhill to reach the left turn at about an hour. If you can do that, then you are having a good ride!

Leave something in the legs for the last 5km though - there are some false flats which can really hurt!
