Neither men are a threat to Daniel T in the KOM Competition. He will be enjoying this as he doesn't have to do much work to defend the Jersey.

At km 30, about fifteen riders have gone clear. It seems like Romain Bardet is part of it.

He is a threat to Daniel T's hopes of keeping the Jersey. Daniel started the day with 33 points And Romain with 15Points

Tejay van Garderen and Romain Bardet, wearing the yellow-blue and the white jersey respectively, are both noted in the front group. Very fast race so far!

Looks like sky and Garim Cannondale will have to be on the front of the peloton today

Top contenders Tejay van Garderen, Romain Bardet and Vincenzo Nibali have returned to the peloton.

 

Ten riders have remained in the lead in three vawes at km 40: Grivko, Péraud, Adam Yates, Gallopin, Castroviejo, Izagirre, Losada, Alaphilippe, Gautier and Cummings, they have a 15 second lead

Joaquim Rodriguez (Katusha) and Julian Alaphilippe (Etixx) are dropped by the peloton while Tony Martin remains ahead in the ascent to col de la Croix-Haute with 8 seconds lead.

Three more riders have pulled out of the Dauphiné: Martin Velits (Etixx), Caleb Fairly and Luka Mezgec (Giant). Earlier, Murillo Fisher (FDJ) had also called it a race.
