The magnet for my cadence sensor does not fit between the frame of my Scott Solace and the crank .. I see there are possibly magnets that fit into the pedal socket, has anybody had experience with these, or other methods of solving the problem? Thanks!

A small round magnet in the pedal hole works just fine, all my bikes are fitted like that. I use a magnet from a slot car, it's about 4mm thick and diameter about 10mm, fits perfectly.
