Hallo everybody

Ive got a quick question. What would you recommend as a daily use road wheelset for about R 5500? Ive narrowed it down to the following. All prices from evobikes

American classic sprint 350 R5495

American classic victory 30 R4195

Mavic cosmic elite s R 5995 with tyres

Mavic ksyrium Equipe WTS R 5295

Shimano RS 61 R 4495  Not to keen on the cup n cone setup

Im just weighing up some option between getting one of the above or keep a set of fulcrum racing 3's which needs an 11 spd freehub body or I can modify the 10 spd one currently fitted

Have an awesome evening

I've cleared my inventory of wheels and theses are all I use now. Change tyres fr races instead of wheels now:)

Once they arrived I had the spike tension checked and trued. But otherwise they've been totally bombproof man. And I'm HEAVY!!! On the dark side of 105kgs at the moment.

and nothing beats having a carbon wheelset for training:)

American Classic 420'sall the way. While fools roll on their carbon covered wheels like the cycling equivalent of a wonder bra or on actual bur heavy carbon no names you can sit back and be happy you have a super light, responsive wheel set that can be easily maintained and lasts.

Also, you don't go sideways when there is a puff of wind. ;)

Ive always wanted a carbon wheelset, just a bit scared of using it as a daily ride. BUT after reading this I'm defnetly considering going carbon and I only weigh 70kgs on a BAD day

The 420's tick most of the boxes, theyre just a tad bit over my budget for a daily wheelset.

Maybe I should spend a bit more and get one decent wheelset to do everything

My Fulcrums are about 8 years old and required no modifications for my 11 speed casette.

I bought a set for racing and had a pretty decent set of 'training' wheels for most of the day to day needs. Haven't strapped the training wheels on in about 8 months because they just feel so dead compared top my AC's. Am actually looking to pick up some as either a new set of race wheels or another AC model as a training set. I got mine overseas and then had them sent over. Think it worked out to be about R4500.

Alot of the AC's are now tubeless for road. Pretty keen for some magnesium's!

Also have a set of Fulcrum 3's which I'm will be using for my new soon-to-be built, steel-framed, 11-speed build. Very happy with them.
