Hi fellow hubbers,

I want to bleed my Reverb (2014) and I already have all the tools required but I am struggling to get my hands om some Rockshox 2.5WT suspension fluid.

Can anybody give some guidance on possible alternatives or where I can get hold of the RockShox fluid?

I have seen that Cape Multi has Finish Line alternatives but I am also struggling to get the 2,5WT option.

I have also seen "PRO RSF 2.5WT RACING SUSPENSION FLUID" from http://www.powersportrider.co.za

Any feedback would be appreciated...

Thanks

PRO RSF 2.5WT RACING SUSPENSION FLUID by Silkolene - that's the one!  A word of caution.  When you take it apart to replace the seals, if the teflon bushes are worn - which is likely - you cannot reuse them.  The lower comes in the service kit but you will have to buy the cap complete for the top one.  Also to bleed the hose you need the long connectors for the syringe - not the Avid brake ones - or otherwise you can't get past the saddle clamp.  If you don't come right with the oil give me a call.

I had an air bubble problem with a Reverb that. My lbs had the Reverb fluid and gave me a syringe full for bleeding the hydraulics.

Surely in a pinch you could also use Shimano brake fluid which is a mineral oil of about the same low viscosity.

Silkolene RSF 2.5, Bel-Ray HVI 3 and Shimano mineral oil will all do the job.

Cape Cycles don't stock the RS range of oils, although I'm trying to get them to bring some in.
