Your opinion on BB/PF30 VS BSA

Hi guys

My frame takes a PF30 BB, but I am currentl currently running an adaptor and a Shimano SLX crank with a BSA BB.

My question is, specifically referring to stiffness and reliability/maintenance, if I were to upgrade my cranks to SRAM carbon in the future, would it be better to go for the BB30 version or should I rather stick to my current BSA setup?

Based on? So gxp then, rather than BB30 cranks, if I were to upgrade?

Based on pretty much the entire industry agreeing that its rubbish!! ha ha

Seriously, BSA all day..

The BB30 is just more attractive due to its weight, or rather lack thereof. Because the Adaptor just adds more weight to the frame and I see SRAM BB30 cranks are listed as lighter than their GXP counterparts. If it will make minimal difference, then BSA will be my first choice, but apparently BB30 cranks are stiffer

had both, can't tell the difference...maybe the pro's can...but I doubt you will be loosing more than 5w due to flex. On the other hand....BB30 is a maintenance whore...marginally lighter yes, but I hope you have a deep wallet for servicing.

Had it, hated it, paid the schoolfees, will never ever consider it again.

BB30 cranks squeak more...

To be honest I don't think most people would notice the difference in stiffness

Easier to maintain and probably stays a lot cleaner too...

yebo...BSA does everything well. There are too many cons on the BB30 side to make it worth it.
