Shadow7 Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Feel like a ass for posting this. In white river on business. Got to hotel and realised left wallet at home. No problem though as paid for room and meals in advance so can survive without it. Then I realise I washed my bike thoroughly before I came and forget to lube chain. No wallet so can't go into a store and buy. Long story short is there anyone who can assist me with some lube for my chain, just one application and ill eft the cash to replace the bottle?
Mike Bike Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Go to a petrol station, fish in the dustbin for some empty oil cans, will be enuf left in one to lube your chain
EvanB Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 speak to the maintenance guy at the hotel. What hotel are you staying at?
Shadow7 Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 Greenway lodge in white river. As far as I know the car oil will cause dirt build up on the chain which will act like a grinding paste? It's a mtb, and lots of dust.
EvanB Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Not one of ours, just ask the maintenance guy for Q20 which will be good
Mojoman Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Greenway lodge in white river. As far as I know the car oil will cause dirt build up on the chain which will act like a grinding paste? It's a mtb, and lots of dust.Add one drop per pin and spin the chain. Take some toilet paper or something and clean off the excess. Go ride. Your bike will survive!
Skylark Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Cardless withdrawal, sorted! FNB allows it, I'm sure most of the other banks will to. No card needed, all you need is the app installed, perhaps you can even do it via the online banking website? I also vote for the car oil, I've used it before, the thicker the better, worked perfectly.
