DMH Posted August 18, 2015 Share So I'd bought this singlespeed bike off the Hub a while ago with this 26" carbon rear wheel. I'm pimping up a cruiser I've got (see the Morewood cruiser topic under Build Projects) and want to make this the front wheel (can't do the back as it's a 24" x 3). A further problem is that the downhill fork has a 20mm through axle. I've been told that I'd probably need to take it past a machinist. If this is my only option, any recommendations around Durban? Could you identify the wheel? Or the hub? Have any ideas on how to make it fit? Cheers!

DMH Posted August 18, 2015 Share Looks like a SPIN rim. Google SPIN Mountain bike rims Awesome! Thanks it most def looks like a SPIN rim. Seems like it's very rare these days - ones from 98 popping up on ebay for a few grand. All the more reason to get it fitted! I see TAG wheels made one that looked the same too - circa 2008. But they're no more. Oh it did have a decal on it - scraped away some of the black paint - I can't make head or tails of it - ring any bells? Dayyyym you cats know your shiz! Aah so it's almost def. a Spin wheel. In this case may have been fitted to a Cannondale or a bike with a CODA crank or just had the decal added. OK Thanks chaps. Guess this means I'll have to find a machinist?
