A word of advise from one big lad to another...cycling shorts...DONT wear them...if you have a gut like mine then wearing cycling shorts is not a smart idea.

you pull them up just under your saggy boobs and everything feels great...everything is nice and tight and in place...chamois is nice at snug against the crutch and you ready to go...well that is until you get on the bike...as soon as you start cycling...the waist eleastic rolls off the gut and ends up under the gut...which is turn loosens everything...the chamois gets loose and boy the rubbing just goes pear shape...by the time you get off the bike you walking like john wayne and need 2 tubs of bum cream.

My advice get a bib.

So I managed to kit myself out with some rather dashing cycling shirts, and a bib, thanks to Andrew and Manie at CT Anatomic. So look out for 'The Coffee Express' coming through your town soon! ;)

I'll post a pic when i've 'grown' into the shirt! ;)

First time I see this topic, but reading your original post, I immediately thought of Anatomic CT, as I saw some great shirts on clearance sale in big sizes while sorting myself out with some Lekke Bibshorts!

Hijack on:

Must say, I looked at various other options in the R1k range for a bibshort today,..and I walked out Anatomic feeling like I've just got a R2k bib for what I budgeted....CHUFFED

Hijack off:

Glad you got sorted!

I agree. Everywhere else I looked were significantly more for similar quality, and didn't do sufficient sized clobber to fit my highly trained aerodynamic physique! ;) I also got the R1k bib, and so far its been great apart from the fact that my missus bursts into laughter as I put it on! It reminds her of the good ol' days of wrestling when Big Daddy and Giant Heystacks were the rulers! Not sure why she thinks of that?!! ;)
