I'm planning to do the Forest to Falls and heard that its muddy and slippery, what tyres are the best for those conditions. moonlight2008-04-11 00:01:53

And if you really wanna treat yourself to superior handling in wet and/or dry get yourself a set of Kenda Karma's .

For very muddy conditions, the Bontrager Mud X-  size 1.85 - 2.1 is best in the world according to the British mtb magazines.

Larsens are great when its dry, when its wet though.... hmmm, no comment. Try the Larsen Mimo in a 1.9 at the rear and a 2.0 at the the front. My 2c.

We were really suprised (even amazed) at how these tyres handled the mud. Loads of guys were slipping and sliding and we had very good control, even on the single track down to where the race was cancelled on day 3. If I could only take 1 type of tyre to a race, then the TT's would be my choice. Good in the dry, fine in the wet. A good alround tyre.

Fair enough, I have had one and only one pair and hated every second of them. Were all different though.
