Track/trails JHB south

Hi guys 

 

Need some suggestions for some dirt track around the klipriver/brackendown area. not looking for commercial trails as i know about rietvlei and Thaba. 

 

will be doing mainly afternoons weekday to get fitness back up.

 

Any advice?

I'm not sure I'd ride in the area on my own as we have had spates of bikejackings in the area.

 

Saying that, there are trails that start from the nursery at the corner of Swartkoppies and Overbury that will take you all along down towards the Klip and beyond. If you can find people to ride with, like NotSoBigBen, its not bad.

I suggest joining the DOC group on a Saturday morning to familiarise yourself with some of the routes around the area, then you'll know them and be able to do them at your leisure.

I prefer to ride alone or with my mate or brother, but ill try an odd group ride every now and then

No. Normally ride with the_nerd, but when he's reluctant to leave the comfort of his bed, I go out on my own.
