Where do I buy Pivot Bearings in C Town - Trance 2

I found a few of my pivot bearings are a bit rough after nearly a year.

I decided to remove all while I had the bike in pieces and made a few aluminium tools to pull them all out nicely.

I suppose I should have checked first where one can buy them or whether they are all in stock.

One set has a small lip on the outer race which looks a little rare possibly.

The numbers I have are :  6802 - 4 off  :  6902 - 2 off   :   6900V (with Lip) - 2 off  :  698V - 2 off

                                          6900V (no Lip) - 2 off

Any suggestions appreciated.

Cheers

Let's see the tools. I think the CT suspension guru is droo..

Any LBS can order the original kit from Dragons or individual bearings from Rush. I've got most of those in stock, but will need to see the one with the lip.

Otherwise head to your closest BMG (Bearing Man) and get spares there.

They won't be full compliment bearings (which last slightly longer) but they will do the job just fine.

Before you re-install - FILL those new bearings with grease - should give you much better longevity, given they have enough grease for high speed rotation, but with small ocillating motiion like on a suspension pivot, there is enough air space in the bearing to allow it to run dry to some extent - packing addtional grease in seems to help a lot.

You just need a small pick to remove the seals in orer to fill them - make sure you put them back with the correct orientation.

Although the tools were supposed to work 100% both for removal and installation, the installation did not go as planned and I still had to tap here and there on the washer  with a pin punch to ensure the bearings went in parallel. At least the aluminium was a softer surface that the housing and did not cause and damages and I just kept tension on the puller screw.

Some how the tool did not pull exactly parallel until the bearing had entered half way.

Anyways, all good.
