travisza Posted June 10, 2016 Share As long as the wind starts after the swimJust means you'll be swimming with the waves
shaper Posted June 10, 2016 Share wind light in the morning, picking up in the afternoon http://www.windguru.cz/int/index.php?sc=4865 At least it looks like the waves are dropping in the week leading up to the race Will check again late next week... these things have a habit of changing quickly..... Cheabb78 Posted June 13, 2016 Share Race no 776 - goal is to be faster than last year... Weather not looking promising, but still a few days to go.
ADe Posted June 13, 2016 Share Race no 776 - goal is to be faster than last year... Weather not looking promising, but still a few days to go. It is difficult for me to set a goal time, having not done Durban last year. For those who have done East London and Durban, how do your times compare? shaper Posted June 13, 2016 Share It is difficult for me to set a goal time, having not done Durban last year. For those who have done East London and Durban, how do your times compare?Swim will be dependent on the sea conditions, so is an unknown variable. Current forecast is 1.5m waves, so might be an issue. Cycle for me was 25 mins faster in Durbs than EL. Run was faster in EL this year as was fitter and would expect a faster run in Durbs than last year as is pretty flat run and my running has improved. You should be quicker in Durbs than EL
