The gooses are pretty strong, I like mine BUT if I had the money I would upgrade to a New Glory or something. Its been a while since those Glory's been in the market in Gauteng.

Just be careful with an old DH bike, those things takes up a lot of beating, for the price of an 2008 Glory you an get a 2012 boot'r

Ps: I am not a Mongoose representative, I am just looking for value for money.

i bought a glory frame and it was cracked and it was a 2013..so im very wary of what i buy now

Orange 223 if I'm not mistaken. I'm pretty sure you have a better chance of splitting an atom than cracking one of those

nice bike!

The best advice I can give you about starting DH is DONT.

Unless you like posting pics of plates and paying more for arm splints that bikes :P

thats the fun of it!

A bra of mine had an old Faith that he struggled to sell.

Let me check if its still available.

There was also an old orange up for grabs from another friend.

Will have to check with him too.

Every brand has bikes that "crack" and generally, the frequency is over-played. Boot'rs are strong. Heavy, but strong.

Any bike, if pushed hard enough and hucked badly enough, will at some point break...

im so light i wont crack anything

So then why not a mongoose? Seriously, they're by far the best value you'll get in a DH bike on the 2nd hand mrket.

theres not one anywhere for sale at the moment under R7000

I still have one of these. I don't think I'll ever sell it though. Well never say never.

But there's a frame like this being advertised here on the hub
