Looked online and couldn't find MTB specific info besides SANPARKS stating that the east side is open. I don't want o land up irritating hikers riding on trails I shouldn't be on Sure, here's a map looking over Silvermine from Tokai's side. The loop around the dam leads to a really good lookout while the Ou Wapad adds distance but leads you down to the Ou Kaapse Weg road and no further.

Silvermine MTB.jpg The way to do it is to park in Fish Hoek.Ride through the Clovelly Golf course, along the river and cross Ou Kaapse.Up Ou Wa Pad around Silvermine and back down.Guarenteed to raise the heart rate a tad.My son believed it was excellent training for Attakwas done often enough.

NGUTF Posted December 24, 2015 Author Posted December 24, 2015 So after going to the wrong Silvermine gate (no. 2) and a nice lady pointing me in the right direction I finally did my first republic of cape town ride. I was the moering so only did one lap, haven't climbed that quickly in a long time.
