Bell Super 2 Availability

you can't... Except on SUPER specials, which were based on the Non-MIPS version and are just sitting on the shelf. Yet to see one of those deals except in the random Small sizes. 

 

Mate of mine just bought one when he went over to the states. Got it on an end of stock special for $180 or something while he was over there. 

 

If he had shipped it here, it would have cost an extra 30% over and above that (duties) then VAT, then added shipping of approx $30. So total cost would have been $297. 

 

Only option is to wait for the USD to come down a bit more. 

Where are these mythical small helmets hiding?

 

Up until recently I've always had medium helmets, until I've tried a small on and it didn't look like a huge mushroom and actually fitted comfortable. Guess my huge kop wasn't as big a I thought it was.

I've only seen one or 2. One was being sold by Bibi a while back (asked him if he had a large for me, sadly no) and the other was somewhere else. 

 

Other smalls I've seen for ridiculous prices were on sites like jensonusa / merlin etc. $130 for the non mips version. 

 

Actually - here you go. Super 2 non mips for $58 plus the chinbar for $75...

 

And yes, the Super 2 DOES accept the chin bar, so you can get it separately.

Chinbar is a Large, so you will have to wait for a Small version to become available.

At the current ROE, the shell works out to be about R 1,750 landed. That's a MASSIVE saving on the current retail price.

yeah, that's the price I'm used to seeing. We just get utterly butt-raped by the exchange and import duties. And if you've brought in stock at 16 to the $, unless it's been sitting there for 2  to 3 years there's no way anyone would consider losing that amount of cash on it...
