dev null Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 I know there is a photo thread about this, but I thought I would like to start a general discussion thread about the new updated trails there. I would like to thank all the people that worked hard to update the trails, and for the continuing maintenance thereof. The trails there have improved a lot the past year. I rode the red route yesterday and loved it, even though I still need to stop now and then to get my breath back and let the heart rate subside. Very happy that they extended the Bikini Beach climb to cut out that part where you had to ride past that little built structure at the ditch. I was also very happy that the rocky crossing through the big downhill jumps has now been cut out. That lower singletrack coming down at the bottom has also improved over time and is not so bumpy any more. Kudos to all involved. I will happily renew my permit in the new year.

dev null Posted December 15, 2015 Author Posted December 15, 2015 Yes. Take the ST through the forest at the bottom, then join the singletrack coming down at the top of the bikini beach climb. You can make a nice loop of that. But going up and coming down on the red route is not that technical. There are just one place where I normally dismount and walk, and it is that one steep drop before the sharp turn after you cross the 4x4 trail, about halfway down.
