Tubeless Road Tyres - Who, what & Where?

Just got a set of AMC tubeless road wheel and now on the hunt for decent tubeless tyres.

I"ve got a 2014 Cannonade Supersix Evo and after doing a bit of research it seems that they won't take 28c tyres but will take some 25c and all 23c ones.

Been looking at the Schwalbe One and the Schwalbe One Pro's as they score well on the rolling resistance tests and I've been a firm fan of GP4000s for the last 5 years+ but they don't have a tubeless version.

Vittoria have a good one coming out next year but even the agents don't know when.

Wondering who has used what brands and if any one knows of any 25c tyres anywhere in the country! I've called most shops in the WC and can't find any. Most shops carry a few 23c ones (Ones, Hutchinson and 1 Spez Roubaix but none of the brilliant turbos) and to be honest for the price you have to pay for a tubeless tyre I'd rather get the one I want not one because everywhere is out of stock.

I have used Hutchinson, Specialized, Schwalbe and Bontrager. I also always try to get 25 or 28c. I liked the Bontrager best but one delaminated (I am not sure if the wheel may have been near an exhuast - so not blaming the brand). Best value for money (?training set) is Hutchinson.

I just bought a set of Hutchinson on special at CWC to use while I wait for my "mule" to bring in 28c from London again. I am more concerned by the size than the brand- so I will look for a special on any 28c. The brands are much of a muchness to me.

Did see evo has some One's on special in 28c. Have struggled to see any reviews on the Bontragers apart from the delam' any good? I'm looking for an all rounder but with a focus on race speed.

Thanks for that. I did do a search for a thread but only found the review. Thanks for posting.

It is hard to know wich set is fastest but I felt better through corners on the Bonties. I think the new Pro may be the best for speed but I have not used them yet.

Those One Pro's come at a premium, R1300 per tyre on discount from Evo bikes.

Wondering what the Vittorias will be like. I've heard that they will be lightening fast but will wear out more than you'd want.

Did find the One Pro's as a 25c double pack overseas on eBay but they are shipping from Taiwan... not sure if that is a good gamble!

Been using the Schwalbe ONE (not the new pro version) for a year and they're great. I ride in Cape Town and the 23C is perfect as I run it around 80-90psi so seems comparable to a tubed 25C.

Wear isn't that great compared to Conti's though but not getting a flat is well worth it in my book.

Oh, and the sidewalls are soft - got a sidewall cut on first day out (think it was a cateye). Made it home but tyre no longer safe in my opinion.

Prices are a bit crazy these days though.
