I'm enjoying this route very much. Handy for when I want a fast MTB ride and Wendy wants a Road ride.

I see lots of thorns in my tyres though - slime saves the day :-)

Also did a couple of rides there lately. Very enjoyable. Except for the drag back home along beyers..

As for the track, very enjoyable.

I see Hero adventure have cleared the culvert at the old teak place, thus no more road crossing, a lot safer.

Yes, clean as a whistle under there now.

I've been doing from the Lion & Rhino along the track to Beyers and back on the road. Today I did it twice.

From the top of the hill where they dump food from the Cradle restaurant (where you often see baboons) to Beyers is a wicked flowing downhill almost all the way.

Rode down this into the culvert on my tandem. We couldn't make the climb out on the other side but it's very rideable on a single

Took some time to cut away some overhanging bushes opposite the Rhino. & Lion. Not enough to upset anyone, just enough that you don't get scratched next time you ride!

Ooh boy, had a blast on this route this morning.

Incorporated a new kinda route to the start, and in stead of doing the drag up beyers, I turned around at the end, and followed the same route back home, ended up, doin an extra 12kms.

Was the first person to go through this on Sunday morning after the heavy rain and it was 6 inches deep with mud again ;-)

On my second circuit I skipped the culvert and just crossed the road outside Teak.

Will see what it's like tomorrow - we're riding there first thng.

from out of town. I staying near Cradlestone Mall. Dont mind getting in the car to drive to a start point. Were should on start to do a decent loop.

Park at Something Country, the MTB route starts outside Kloofzicht entrance, 500m from Something Country. Ride down the hill on the trail. Turn right at the bottom and its 12.5km to the end of the trail at the roundabout at the end of Beyers Naude Drive. From there you have to either ride back the way you came, but in the road (the trail is one way) or turn right at the roundabout and ride road back to Something Country completing the loop.

When were you thinking of riding?
