Sram gx cassette jamming onto hub.

Hi!

I'm installing my first cassette onto an xd driver.

Hub: hope pro 2 evo, qr, xd driver.

Cassette: sram gx

The existing setup was Shimano ten speed which worked fine. I removed the qr adapter and ten speed free body, reinstalled the qr adapter (it only works that way around) and installed the xd driver body.

Now when I tighten the gx cassette on, it tightens all the way down onto the qr adapter and jams up against it. That means once the wheel is tightened in the frame the cassette can't turn because the qr adapter can't turn.

I assume I am missing a washer which sits between the cassette and the xd driver, thereby creating more room for the cassette not to touch the qr adapter. The cassette never came with any washer...

Is it something else?

Please help :-)

you need a specific 11 xd driver,

they are rather expensive for the hope ,

That's not the problem, I have the XD driver...

But I have discovered and sorted the problem: the 11 spd cassette needs a specific qr end cap too. It is 1.5mm smaller OD. So I stuck mine on the lathe and trimmed it. Sorted.
