  1. Hi, I bought an ecoflow river pro recently. I compared it to an equivalent Jackery and the ecoflow looked better because it had a proper ac bypass for UPS functionality, and a fast charge off AC. It fully recharges in 1.6hrs. It has 720wh, and a maximum of 600W AC output. It can run higher power appliances too using x-boost, but limits their power to 600w. So it can power the kettle, just takes a bit longer to boil. It is a very impressive device and I recommend it!
  2. When i got my silvia i also tried to use a krups grinder and got thoroughly rejected. The silvia is a tough nut to crack. Part of the reason is the pressure is very high. There is a pressure relief valve inside the machine that you can use to adjust the pressure to calm things down a bit. I adjusted mine down to 8 or 9 bar and bought a much better grinder, best decision ever for consistently easy good shots.
  3. I have contacted Wayne at Rapide and they no longer have stock, that is why I am reaching out. The cap got lost while transporting the bike with the front wheel off.

  5. Maybe check your spoke tension... they can make a horrible noise when pedaling hard if they aren't tight enough.

  11. This exactly. If you appreciate a fork which is functioning perfectly and is well run in (Ie slippery smooth) either learn to do the services yourself (preventative maintenance is dead easy) or be prepared to pay someone else to spend their time and consumables servicing your kit. Running your fork to the ground with the plan to replace the whole thing, what a waste, you don't really deserve a suspension fork, rather ride a rigid... Just joking, but you get my point.
  12. I wouldn't recommend this, that fuller taste you are getting is just an added layer of staleness to your fresh brew. Unless you are using stale beans of course, then yes that taste will be amplified...
  13. Mr Rouxenator You will never need to spend any money on tires. One day when these wear out in a few years, just head to your LBS and ask to see the "free, new tires" aisle and take your pick. (the rubbish bin)
  14. Completely different price range, but KS do a 100mm Lev with a very short post. It is the only one that was able to fit into my girlfriends bike. Edit: I realize now the exposed bit is the problem not the inserted bit, never mind.

  16. I'll let others recommend someone. But: People over-think the building of a wheel. There are dos and there are donts. There is no magic involved and its fairly quick to do. It is something anyone can do if the recipe is followed. (the recipe is available easily online). Give it a try its quite fun.

  18. If the pedals are toast regardless, and depending on the pedal, this is an easy solution - have done it twice: Strip the pedal so only the axle is in the crank. Take the axle to the grinder to create flats. Hold the flats in a vice. Twist the crank.
  19. Hi. This is aimed specifically at tallboy 2 owners, but the technique might be transferable to many other bikes that use angular contact bearings. I bought my Tallboy 2nd hand and the pivot bearings were in a pretty bad state. I did the usual clean and re-pack with grease and was able to keep riding like that for ages, however I recently decided it was time for new bearings. Off I went to the LBS, pivot linkage in hand to show what bearings I needed. The friendly staff handed me four shiny new Enduro bearings and asked if I wanted them to remove the old ones for me. I thought sure that'll save me a few minutes at home, how friendly. As the pivot headed off to the workshop I got nervous and decided to go check how he was doing it. I find him with the whole pivot clamped tight in a vice, he's using the mushroomed end of a chisel to violently "pry out" the outer bearing race. I panic and beg him to stop because I will rather do it at home and he's like "NO no relax we do this all the time, listen i'm the mechanic" Not a chance, I extracted it from his mis-guided hands and did it at home. I'll tell you how in a bit but let me finish my story. Turns out the bearing seat in my pivot is full of holes, the previous owners lbs must have tried to drill out the outer race. I started searching online, but all the techniques mention various forms of pullers and complex setups and none provide the easiest solution. How are people getting it so wrong? Stop going full rambo on expensive bikes! If you've tried replacing your pivot bearings before you'll probably know the issue. The inner race is one sided and breaks free when you pull on it - leaving the outer race and balls behind in the pivot. Here's the fun part, the outer race ball groove is two-sided. So, stick the inner race onto an implement and approach the stubborn outer race from the other side. You've reversed the bearing and can tap it out with ease from behind. Now, sit back and use all the time you saved to contemplate why so many people and bike shop mechanics can get it so wrong sometimes. I don't take my bikes to the bike shop for anything at all for this reason.
