If that's true it's scary, considering a lot of riders do base training in December, so they are on the road a lot...

What would be an interesting statistic is what percentage of road users those number represent. E.g. what percentage of all motorists on the roads over that period were killed. I don't know if that information even exists.

My maths sucks - at least that's what my boss just said - but it works out at about one cyclist killed daily from December 1 to January 11, right?

Gloomy stats. Overseas (1st world) people just do not believe it when we discuss it.

 

I heard part of the delivery - 10% of the "pedestrians" were kids, 0 to 4 years old.  :eek:
