I'm not interested in the nonsenses going on between Hero Adventure and Heia-Safari at the moment so I'm looking for a new open-water swimming spot.

Anyone swimming in the "Golden Harvest" lake near Northgate Dome in the north of JHB?

"Near the Northgate Dome in the north of Johannesburg, is a pristine 55ha park with rolling walks around a dam and indigenous bushveld. This picturesque park is a delightful surprise and a secret treasure about which many Johannesburgers are unaware."

Modderfontein Nature Reserve?

Edit: Swimming or wading in any of the dams or bodies of water within the reserve is strictly prohibited unless doing so is necessary to fulfill a prescribed management objective.

I swim in Germiston often and its very clean and warm.  We swim with a Tri club though and you need to be part of that club if you want to swim with us.  Not sure if its open otherwise for swimming.

Pm me if you want details on the Tri Club.
