I did the same a few months back after a broken chain and the guys that helped me out where on bike hub but very seldom, They had buddies see the thread and they logged on to see my thank you thread so i'm sure the guy will see this. OP, Time to go tubeless? I presume you where on a mtb by the fact his spare tube worked for you.
