life saving device

I am sure that I read an article a while ago about either a phone app or other device that uses a "G" meter to recognize a crash and send out your location to who ever you add to the contacts list.

There are a few apps that use the accelerometer in your phone to detect a crash but they're not very good. Recognising the difference between dropping your phone and crashing with your phone in a holder or in your pocket is not easy.

So a separate device similar to other wearable tech (Fitbit?) would probably have an available market.

One needs to determine what is the common denominator among all crashes......almost like a forensic CSI analysis. Just from reading about some Hubbers' experiences a common event can be identified. Might just be difficult convincing cyclist to wear a hydrostatic-aeromatic-pressure sensor in their broeks.
