Bicycle Insurance

Hi all,

 

I know this is a frequent topic on the hub, but I need some advice.

 

Has anyone dealt with Compedium Insurance Brokers before? They provide stand alone bicycle insurance. Which is something most insurance companies don't do.

 

Is stand alone insurance a good thing, or would it be better to add the bicycle to your normal household insurance, provided that you are covered for damage/theft on the road or at races etc?

I have my bikes insured with Momentum under portable goods. Had to claim on a new frame after a crash and they paid out no problems.

I have only had awesome service from Cyclesure and I have had quite a few claims over the past 3 years

I'm with Compendium since they bought out iCycle. Haven't had to claim yet but most of the top brass ride and I have heard good thing about there service and in my limited dealings they have been great.

I have ridden with their CEO on several occasions and he is very passionate about the cyclists on his books. They also support the cycling community and have been long time supporters of Malcolm's teams.

 

Basically, give them a shot, I'm sure they will do a good job
