Floor Pump

Vivek...get a lezyne cnc floor pump...money well spent.

Couldn't find much around Durban, but managed to find the Lezyne Sport floor pump which has the same ABS2 type head as the CNC. It's a very similar design to the Birzman.

 

Tried it out and it works like a charm, no slipping off at 9bar, and I see you can get rebuild kits and spare fitting for these so that's a good thing.

I bought the Lezyne one recently (all snazzy and chrome), but then tried my brother-in-laws Park Tool version while in Joburg for the weekend and that is the puppies nuts. Far easier to use.

well the Lezyne compared to the cheapie Giant control tower is already a whole lot easier, gets to 9 bar with ease so I'm happy with that.

There are Lezyne low pressure pumps at Sportsmans Warehouse in 4Ways Value Crossing if anyone is interested.

 

I was looking for a low pressure pump for MTB forever and couldn't believe that the mainstream retailers had them.

 

Nice big guage that maxes out at 4 bars. Bit fiddly on the connection but now at least I believe the pressure gauge is correct when saying 1,85 bars is what the tyres are pumped to.

 

That and a Joe Blow for road where ,05 of a bar doesn't really matter that much.
