Runbikeswim Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 What are my options to get my hr in a swim scenario....I don't need it real time and the pool is salt water so not worried about chlorine damage. I know the best is probably the new garmin tri hr...but is there not a cheaper option on a fenix 3?
Fisan Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Mio Link? It's a little bit cheaper than the Tri HR. The downside: you have to wear it on the same wrist as the Fenix (ANT transmission needs to be close to watch to work underwater) - so your one arm may feel a bit overcrowded....but it works.

Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Garmin HRM Swim strap. It's not cheap, but it tracks and stores your HR data and as soon as you're out the pool it sends it to the device, from what I've read.
