Argus Parking in Cape Town

Hey all

 

I'm an Argus newbie and live in the Southern Peninsula. My question is what do most guys do when driving through to town for parking? I've seen which roads are closed and figure I could possibly go up de Waal drive and try find parking in town, not sure if this is advisable though? I don't mind leaving at before sparrows fart to get into town and then chill in the car with coffee or even try catch a couple hours nap.

 

Very little info online with many sites not even getting the event date right???

 

 

Some veteran tips would be welcome

There are quite a few options if you come in early. We usually park at the V&A and pedal across to the start. Leave enough time to load into you start chute. It takes longer than what you might think.

Park near Haas. Easy to get to the start and easy to get back to your car. Right across the road from the coppers, so car should be safe and you can get a coffee......

 

Or just ride into town and ride back..

CTICC normally have a parking special for the day.Lots of riders park in Long or Loop st.CTICC better call,safe and toilets available
