GrumpyOldGuy Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Was a good stage yesterday, Sky initially putting the hammer down (with a lot of help from Orica and Etixx) and splitting the peleton, unusual tactics for them, but made for exciting racing.Ultimately it amounted to nothing but as all the big names made the split there wasn't really a reason to stay away, except to maybe be first over the gravel. Porte looked decidedly lonely in the split, so I am sure that wont go down too well in the post race briefing, BMC is better than that. Bardet looks on top form, in the split and keen to mix it up, I reckon he could pull a podium position if he keeps up like this.
