Vuka Bump used on NMT Cycle lanes

I thought these 3D road markings were quite clever, doubt it would deter taxis though...

Contact the PPA, they should be able to guide you in the right direction.

Once the Taxi's inside wheels are over the Vuka they stay half in the cycle lane, half in the road. A taxi hooted madly at me because he could not pass while I was in the lane. Regardless of having to stop every block to offload passengers. 

 

Law enforcement is what is needed and more specifically cops on bike!

Chatting to Transport for Cape Town the biggest issue is lack of enforcement, even the best method of design and infrastructure cannot be productive and efficient if people dont obey the law or if the law is not forced onto people who cannot obey.
