Beginner Routes

Hi All 

 

I have a work colleague looking for entry level routes on the east rand , or travel from east rand.

 

He did modders but found going to hard , my suggestion is a Emerentia dam type loop that is very easy and will be fun to get the bug to bite ie nice soft easy riding

 

Benoni Country Club maybe ?

 

Any Ideas

Don't know the east well, but have read some good things about Huddle Park?

Hey Milosh, what did he not enjoy of Modderfontein? 

I've not tried BCC yet but from the few places around the East, I hate to say it but Modders is probably the easiest. 

 

I haven't ridden the new changes at Huddle Park yet but the good part from feedback from friends, if it's a fitness thing and he gets tired, he's never too far from the club house - unlike modders where you just have to finish.

 

 

If he's willing to travel - Northern Farms really is the best place to start. or the green routes on Big red barn - lots of single track fun and little climbing

I would suggest, as Uni said. Went to Big Red Barn yesterday, and found the green route there rather enjoying as a beginner.

BCC will do just fine. They have 3 routes, red, yellow and green with green been the easiest. There is also Rietvlei in Jhb south which also has different routes.

Thank you guys , Have recommended a few loops of BRB green route  will add Green BCC to list and remind him to keep it fun while he gets the hang of it and build up slowly till the bug bites properly
