Wow! What an experience!!

The Sabie really lived up to its name..

It was the most difficult and also the best event I participated in so far..

I even had my first OTB experience (I know, not something to brag about..).

Everything was just great - the organization, the huge goodie bag, the water tables and the single trails, not to forget the amazing views..

It definitely is an event to do again and again..

Did the Sabie Experience Team event this weekend, my first stage type event.

WHAT AN AWESOME EVENT!

The organisation, the goodie bag, the people, the routes, the scenery... was pleasantly surprised about all of it. Would definitely recommend it. I was a bit worried as the route profiles showed a lot of climbing, about 1000m each day in about an average of 40km routes, I'm no racing snake but I managed all three days just fine.

The routes had a bit of everything, jeep track, AMAZING single track through forest, a bit of mud and slippery dirt roads here and there, but nothing too technical.

Well done to all the organisers of the event and thank you to all the riders who made it such an awesome event, will definitely consider riding this again next year.

Would love to do Sabie Experience again - did two back in the day when it was a 4 day in early/mid Dec. The mud/rain unfortunately just made it into a helluva expensive experience - new drive train common place after - that mud just got into everything! The riding was always superb though, must try make a plan for next year, the timing of the event now sounds a lot more bike friendly!

Yeah, there was  quite a rainstorm on Thursday night before the 1st stage on Friday morning, but the mud was still easily avoidable on Fridays stage. We also received emails from the organisers that alternate routes were planned in case of heavy rains to avoid sections that could possibly get ruined.

What a great race.

Was my first Sabie experiance. Have done 3 towers a few times.

This was a great race.

All the days were filled with lost of climbing but also with a lot of single track.

The single track on the last day was the best I have ridden in a long time.

Thanks to the organizers, sponsors, route builders the water points and everyone that helped in some way. The people and riders were friendly and we had a fun time. Will be back next year again to play in Sabie and to try and drink all the beer again.
