Yeah...... So I spoke to a Canadian dude the other day (from Ontario) and he reckons it's cheaper for him to go to the PDS than Whistler.

I've ridden at Whistler.  It is simply mindblowingly good.  I can't even begin to describe the amazingness in words.  I want to live there.

 

I've been to Morzine / Les Gets too, and there is no comparison.  Whistler wins hands down.  No contest.  

 

It's worth every cent.

 

And now that it's getting even better?!

Everything regarding Canada is more expensive. I could do very good cost comparison of EU vs Canada last year because I visited both.

 

Both for just over 3 weeks and Canada cost me more even though I had free accommodation (vs BnB's/hotels in EU) and I traveled way more in EU (so add transport costs too) where in Canada I had basically non (bothers van)...yes hard to believe, but it is a fact. Don't want to know how much it would have cost in Canada if I had to add accommodation and all the other stuff too.

 

AND I didn't even go to Whistler area which is know to be WAY more than the areas I was in.

 

So higher on my list of places to go ride in is Chile and Argentina, Whistler isn't even in the top 5 (yet).

Hayley, did you follow the EWS in Chile and Argentina lately?  I don't think there's much trail left to ride...all roosted to hell.

But yeah, Whistler is obviously the dream, but I'd rather live than dream.  So I'll be saving up for a proper month excursion to Europe combining some family things with a solid 10 day blitz of the PDS. 

 

Just hope Europe doesn't enter WW3 before then.
