Kad-Guy Posted April 20, 2016 Share Fellow brethren, behold! A neglected Mongoose I managed to salvage from a friend of mine. Any Idea how to get the chrome shiny again? Some elbow grease and Autosol maybe? Despite the condition of the frame, Its got some decent components. Gold Suzue high flange hubs with Sumo rims. Sugino Crank and flywheel A replica of the Kashimax Aero. Has a Raleigh sticker on the back And of course, a 'frulaati' bar and fork. Here's the serial for those interested Any comments are welcome. So are any offers on trades/ offer to purchase. Peace.

Mongoose! Posted April 20, 2016 Share these old school BMX bikes are so cool a while back I restored my wife's Raleigh Burner to almost original (found it in my late father in law's garage...) Son used to ride it. And to accompany my son, I bought a Kwahara on Gumtree for myself - restored to new (two sets of wheels.. one set plastic mags - but not actual Skyway's But my son rides most of the time his Mongoose L40 On Holidays we take our BMX bikes with, and ride on the cycle paths / pavments along the sea side. I been told many times I am a cool dad...lol

Eric Cartman Posted April 20, 2016 Share nice bike, whats up with those brake levers though??Those specific levers are for a different type of handle bar. The mounting position is crytical with them. Here is a pic of how they should be mounted. Its an old pic of my Supergoose.
