Ja absolutely, couldn't agree more. And another team I have all the time in the world for is Lotto Soudal.

There's something about the Belgian 'way' of bike racing that I have so much respect for.

Belgians have an attitude that they'd rather go 'all in' for the win than sit in the wheels and play the percentages. If you see an audacious long range 'hail mary' attack by someone on a super hard stage, 9 times out of 10 it's either a Belgian, or someone from a Belgian team.

They are impervious to hardship, they don't complain about circumstances or come up with excuses when they fall short. They will ride themselves into the ground for their teammates and are happiest when their buddies win. They don't seem to have any prima donna egos (they don't take themselves very seriously). They ride with a carefree freedom that is such a contrast to the militaristic disciplinarian Skyborgs, Astana, Movistar, etc. They attack on instinct and 6th sense, not just blindly following a pre-planned instruction.

And the non-Belgians who join these teams (Greipel, Gallopin, Brambilla, Terpstra, Jungels, Kwiatkowski, etc) soon adopt all these qualities too.

[And that's why I think Sagan just has to be on a Belgian team. Reading those qualities again, well they describe Sagan perfectly. No other environment will be as enabling for Peter as a Belgian setup would be.]

Hard to believe it's Valverde'a debut at Giro

Yah, hardly broke a sweat today. Nibali seems to have recovered a bit but I still doubt his form, Valverde and Chavez look much stronger to me.

Sure looks like the planets are aligning for him
