Has the longer route changed from last year? I don't know the area well enough to figure it out on the route map.

Cool start venue,

easy registration process,

nice goodie bag for early entrants

well stocked up waterpoints

weather was perfect

overall a lekker vibe

One complaint tho, i thought the route was terrible.

how do you organise a race on the foot on the bains trials and for the first 20kms you riding on a flat gravel road away from the mountains  how i imagined riding the black and white routes of the bains trails! -_-

All round great event. I really enjoyed it. Thank you organisers!

Although I figured this out beforehand, and can't complain, I was also somewhat disappointed that last year's route was not repeated. It was one of the most enjoyable and challenging single day races in the Western Cape. Hoping the Trailseeker race later in the year uses the full Bains trails route.

We had one lady on the 25km route single track that refused to let us pass, despite numerous nice requests, until she fell after pulling too much front brake. Up to that point there was a long procession behind her already, including me.

Further it was great, and nice ST. We did Lord Of The Rings in reverse to come home. The corrugated road in the beginning was not so bad. At least it served as a nice warm-up before hitting the long climb.

A really well organised event- a fun, clearly marked course, easy registration and a good spot to chill afterwards. The course was fast and the long, jeep track section at the beginning meant we didn't see much congestion on the singletrack. Thanks to the organisers!
