Help me pimp my Rocky with a new fork...

Eish..now that makes life difficult.  Do i go for the Yari or the Rev...

Found this website that gives nice summary of all the RS forks:

http://www.merlincycles.com/blog/which-rockshox-fork-is-for-you/

Not that it helps me make up my mind...

OK maybe if I get back to the original issue with my current fork we can get to a solution:  Current fork is unpredictable, not stiff enough and I can't even use it is its open setting due to it becoming, to quote Myles, wet noodles.  The only thing counting against the Yari for me is weight.  And possibly being more complicated to set up well than my tiny brain can understand. The Rev would be easy to set up, is slightly lighter, but will it be significantly better than my fox...mmm...decisions decisions.

((Yes, unfortunately I am one of those people that research something to its absolute death before parting with my money...I have to be 100% certain))

Seen as I spend way to much time virtual shopping this may be an option If u r willing to wait a bit for delivery, it could take up to a month albeit a few grand less than the 16000 mentioned earlier.

A thunderbolt bc is definitely up there on my list of dream bikes

Do they ship with courier or normal post?  Having lost some items recently due to SAPO strike I don't think I want to take the risk...

Just about 12500 landed. To get a better delivery option though I'd go for the bike-components guys as they have paired with UPS as far as I know. For a slightly raised delivery fee, you get it far sooner.

They use DHL land which then hands over to tracked SAPO. bike-components uses a courier but has slightly higher delivery cost as a result. Not sure how their pricing is at the moment, but it's generally on pay with bike-discount

My last purchase through bike discount (dec 2015) was 8 days into RSA - some confusion with a 1 euro test charge- , another 21 days to my local post office. All in order in the end , no issues with duties etc which after an over zealous clicking effort I was concerned about... But a far cry from my sub 4 day best chain reaction experience...

Ag you know what, thanks for the links to imports, but I think as awesome as the idea of getting a Pike for (almost) the price of Rev sounds to me I'm gonna support local and get a Rev from someone here I think.  Some of the better LBS's here have really helped me with a lot of stuff in the past and I guess this helps keeping them in business, so they can again help me in future...

What are the chance of getting some bottomless tokens locally?  I am slightly on the heavy side (95) and do like a bit more non-linear ramp up in my suspension...

Don't go for the Yari. Stick to the Rev it's a great performer and suits your bike MUCH better.

I am correct in saying the Yari would be adjusted to 130mm and can run up to 150mm?

If this is the case the fork could be moved over to a more #Enduro friendly frame at a later stage if he ever upgraded the frame.

If 130mm is the max travel, stick to the Rev.
