CAS ruled that he did NOT use the Salbutamol as doping.

Lets not get silly with the semantics.  Doping is when you violate the anti-doping laws.  Pettachi was over the limit therefore is guilty of doping.

CAS would not have specifically ruled that he did not dope without a good reason. It may be the difference between being allowed to ride for a Pro team again after one year, as opposed to after 4 years. You think it is semantics - I think they made an important distinction.

Spain's Patxi Vila has been tested positive for testosterone

according to the International Cycling Union (UCI). The 32 year-old of

Team Lampre is requesting a counter-analysis.

 

"They visited me an unannounced control on March 3, at home. In this

control, some parameter related to testosterone did not correspond to

the levels defined by the UCI," stated the Basque to El Diario Vasco's Benito Urraburu, who confirmed the Vila's comments to Cyclingnews.

True - the 'culture' of doping seems not to be ingrained in the MTB world.

 

I can think of a few dopers though:

Jerome Chiotti

Filip Meirhaege (?sp)

Didn't Paula Pezzo have some 'beef with lots of testo' in it for dinner once?

I think some of the downhillers (Wade Booth) got banned for dagga!

Obviously Patxi has learnt nothing from Landis, how many more times must Landis repeat himself, mixing whiskey and beer will get you nabbed for elevated Testosterone.??!
