Is it possible to run this set-up with 10 speed XT chainrings (785) up front?

Thinking of changing the cassette, chain, rear mech and shifter - you guys have that combo on special at the moment - and leave the front as is (24/38).

The super granny will come in handy from time to time...

Yes will work 100% with any 10 speed crankset. You do not need to change the Chainrings to 11 spd as well.

Thanks!

What does this mean?

  • Front Difference: MAX 10T

Is it the difference in number of teeth between the two chainrings? If this is the case, then my current set-up 24/38 has a difference of 14, so could be a problem (?)
