Rhodent Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 Choice to be made - silverback sola or Merida big 9 500? The sola is on special for 15k at cycle lab and the Merida is marked down for 12.5k. Which means for the price of the sola I can look at a tubeless conversion or dropper post for the same price as the sola. Or I can get the sola and do the additions later. Advice?

Although the Sola has the 15mm TA and tapered head tube. Gives a more stable ride - found this when I rode friends Merida 500 coming off my Sola 4.
dee_biker Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 I agree. I have seen a Silverback Storm with XT/SLX mix around that price on the Hub somewhere. IF you REALLY want to buy new, I would go the Sola route, better speced bike in my opinion.
