'Dale Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Really would like Quintana to take the red jersey home Early days ????????????????????????
'Dale Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 "The aim was to get through the stage, yesterday I wasn't even sure I could continue, I thought it could be all over... When I got to the hotel I could barely walk... But when I started today I got a lot of support from a lot of people, sending me messages and cheering me on and that boosted me a bit. I have my saying, too, querer es poder - where there's a will there's a way - and today was definitely the day to apply it." Berto
'Dale Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 "We hope to defend this maillot all the way to the finish in Madrid... there's a long way to go, and in the short-term we've got two very difficult stages. But with the team we have, hopefully we can defend it well." Nairo
'Dale Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 LEÓN, Spain (VN) — Steven Kruijswijk and his LottoNL – Jumbo team want compensation from the Vuelta a España’s race organizer for its negligence. A metal post left in the road with 2.5 kilometers remaining in Wednesday’s stage 5 caused the Dutchman to crash and abandon the race. Kruijswijk, who placed fourth overall at the Giro d’Italia after leading the race for several days, built the second half of his season around winning the Vuelta a España. Now, he sits at home in the Netherlands with a broken collarbone. His season is finished. 'Dale Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 ???????????????? So far, 12 riders have exited the Vuelta through seven stages. That is in marked contrast to this year’s Tour de France, when the peloton raced all the way into stage 8 before seeing its first abandon. What’s going on? Crashes, and lots of them. I think he's right, they should cough up.
Pah Bear Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Finally, NQ is in the house. Vroom cooked his goose when he tried to attack too early. EVERYONE came back at him. He must've had a rush of blood. Kapooffff. Did he stop counting the numbers or what?

This race could get very interesting! Sent from my GT-S6790 using Tapatalk
Mntboy Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Stuffed like a mummy in Egypt? Did Keenan really just say that?Australians do love their over exaggerations don't they! Because this is so definitely being wrapped up like a mummy.............................. Sent from my GT-S6790 using Tapatalk

Sent from my GT-S6790 using TapatalkHe also wrote Bert off 2 days ago.. think the words were something like "he has no chance now" The thing with the Vuelta is, it is hard from the start. So much racing to come, and the team strength is yes import but because it is so hard the team members can't possibly work the way they do in the TDF. I can not see Movistar or Sky super strong throughout the 3 weeks. Bert is very good at riding without the strength of a team around him all the time... sure is going to be very interesting from the half way mark.
Gen Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Anyone know if we have coverage of Bretagne Classic today, or where I can stream it? Sagan has signed in.. ready to race . Unbelievable the amount of travelling they do.. a week ago Sagan was in Rio, today he is racing in France. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=877077002394273&id=121540094614638

Writing him off is a fool's errand as we saw at last year's Giro. Podium despite Astana having a numerical advantage in the GC battle. And Beefy's record at the most nervous GT is better than either of the Giro or the TdF both of which he has bossed as well. He might be seventh but NQ, Froome and the other hopefuls know that he is still in it to win it and will be keeping an eye on him. Sent from my GT-S6790 using Tapatalk
Bonus Posted August 28, 2016 Author Posted August 28, 2016 It's going to be enjoyable watching the big 3 battle it out - whichever way it goes. Although one of the big three is actually only 5 foot 5 inches tall!
