The best reason for not owning a Lefty is the "funny" comments like "did you leave the right side at home?" and "couldn't you afford the whole fork?" you get in the start chute at races...

Hahaha classic! I've always thought it looked odd/unbalanced and that the fork must be complex as hell to accommodate everything in one stanchion. Wonder how the rigidity compares to that of a normal fork?

Wonder how the rigidity compares to that of a normal fork? Pretty simple actually, they just stacked the spring and damper on top of each other. That said, there are some (IMO) unnecessarily complex mechanisms in there that are an absolute pig to sort out when they go wrong.
