Shimano brake lever seals

Anyone have any luck in tracking down a supplier for XT/XTR seals, loose or in a kit? A mate of mine's son has a leaking XTR lever, and they are really not happy with buying a new lever on a 1 year old bike!

There has never been service kits available for any Shimano brake system, if it is a year old and he is the original owner/purchaser of the bike then perhaps try and pursue a warranty?...

Ah yes unfortunately that will be the case...But most other Shimano levers will work so he doesn't have to cough for XTR, he could get away with SLX if his budget will only allow that...

Had the same problem. Look for a 2nd hand one and strip it.

Some hydraulics companies can have seals made up if you have a sample. If you can get it stripped, why not take it to them and see if they can help?
