Edge 520 and Strava live segments

Just to update - turns out the checkbox on the segment page only shows up after the first time you actually sync a ride from the device to Garmin connect. Only after Strava has synced one ride from Garmin Connect does it offer you this option.

 

But like many others - I think I will end up turning live segments off.

if you turn off the map page on your 520 - during your ride your 520 will pop up showing you the segment coming up, then disappear as you reach it!

if you wish to view the segment live then you just scroll to find it.

before it would pop up and i would have to scroll away from live segments each time - annoying.

 

now its great!
