How do you find the rims? I ummed and arrggghd over them but decided to go with a know - the only "Chinese" is the frame but let's face it I guess most of the other fancy parts are from their too.

Can anybody help me I'm looking for a sram compatibility specialist I'm getting lots of conflicting advice, I'm a simple belt drive single speed giy and all of this compatibility stuff is killing me!!!!

From the limited research I have done, SRAM and Shimano are pretty interchangeable ito drive train. Link length, chain with and sprocket spacing are all compatible.

I just spoke to a very helpful and cool guy called Lloyd at Cape Cycle Systems who advised that I need a Sram Force 1 Long cage as the XX1 won't work with my CX levers!!! 

 

My simple belt drive is looking super simple and easy right about now!!! hahaha 

 

I find this with most of my projects (I build various one off cool stuff) is compatibility and getting various things to work with other various things!!

I check the classifieds here every day and I finally found something suitable for this build!!! 

 

I found a seat I was keen on but he wanted too much for the condition it was in.

 

So I happy with these: 

 

I will probably repaint them the same color as the bike (if i repaint) - I did it on the dog walker with great effect.

Are you using PO box or door delivery? If postal, maybe check at your local post office

I absolutely love communities like this, Ive sent two people here money knowing that I will receive the goods and today some one here that is following the build went out of their way to assist me with tracking my frame - its at my local post office so I will collect it tomorrow. 

 

For me this is what its all about - a bunch of dudes all in the same boat pitching in where ever possible!!! AWESOME!!!!

Super excited for tomorrow, Drop daughter off to school then off to check the mock up of my new custom exhaust on the bike then off to the post office to collect my new frame!!!!

I Collected from the post office this morning!! 

 

Initially very happy, I think it will need some paint - mad busy today so will put up proper pics tomorrow.

Im thinking Grey frame, black fork. 

 

I also potentially have an option of Carbon Rotars - will look epic but not sure on the pros / cons - I think they will be proper spendy too, will know more tomorrow.
