  1. Johnson Cycles in Edenvale manufactures these. Maybe they have one you can hire. I think they supply the Choc people with these.
  2. As I recall, Titan was a son of Uranus. He was huge, so I think you are probably right... Not to mention that anything that comes from uranus is sh!t...
  3. Had a short jaunt at Waterberg Game Lodge to test my hand out after some surgery.
  4. Not sure this is true but a bit like Range Rover being a Tata, Porsche being a Beetle and a beetle being a dumbed down Bugatti! While driving Fiat and A Ferrari is the same except for the name...
  5. Ambitious goal but I suppose you do have 24 hours to ride it in as well as a support vehicle if you need to bail for some reason. Start by cutting sugar and bread/pasta/starchy carbs from your diet. Combined with excercise you will shed the first several Kg's fast. After that a lot of HTFU!! Good luck.
  6. Kinda like:" He's a Panda, You're a Panda"
  7. All things working out, should have it by Christmas.
  8. I ordered the 2017 970 RSL... Now the wait..
  9. I felt this same pain thing when I started mountain biking. The first few months my thumbs were sore but then the pain vanished. Only thing I did was keep riding. Seems they were just un-exercised in the sense of repeatedly pushing the triggershift. Maybe that's all it is for you?
  10. I use Oakleys with Oakley prescription lenses in them. I have had them for about 4 years now. Got photochromic ones so I can ride day or night. I did cost quite a bit but IMO worth it.
  11. NF is a great venue and caters for beginners and more. They also have guys patrolling but I have never felt unsafe there (except where my skills run out...)
  12. I think he must rather go back to playing girls soccer.
  13. I have their stems on 2 of my bikes. Great quality (and brilliant service).
  14. Only your back that hurts? I would think your butt hurts a lot more! Per the other posts, look at tyre pressure and bike setup or just bite the bullet and get a Duel Sus!
  15. Judging by the OP there seems to have been more than one "somebody's" doing this. This TBMTBCABCTMTBC seems to have more rogue rider problems than anywhere else. Why is that so?
  16. It is NOT a race, it is a ride. This particular one is a memorial ride for Ian Kernick who "ran" Cresta Wheelers for many years and tragically passed away some years back.
  17. They got lost on purpose? Refer to these comments and you decide it people are getting lost on this trail: MTBeer, on 01 Nov 2016 - 11:01 AM, said: don't know if you've ridden there Headshot, but it's pretty much impossible to get lost on that trail. There's only one path to follow. Headshot, on 01 Nov 2016 - 11:11 AM, said: I just watched a video of the trail and would agree.... you have to be pretty dumb to go off track by accident. Is there a dam along the way? Maybe people have been having a rest on the grass? Is that allowed?
  18. See point 6 on this thread: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/163194-responsible-cyclist-pledge/
  19. I think that if he knows that you know who he is and then receives a lawyer's letter delivered to his house and signed for by his wife...the pressure would be serious.
