mudda Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Hi All, On my commute this morning - near sandton - cnr empire PI road and oxford ave - a cyclists was knocked by a car. I think the driver never saw the cyclists - its a very fast section and easy to reach speeds > 50km/ph The cyclist was surrounded by people helping - the carbon fibre bike was broken in two seperate pieces. The cyclist had a concussion and was dazed. The cyclist was in cyclelab kit (red). If you are that cyclist - may you make a speedy recovery and heal up good.

kosmonooit Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Hope he/she is okay! Roads are insanely dangerous here, even in a car. Accidents do happen but its the general bad attitude, lack of respect for other users and selfishness of drivers that the crux of the problem.
